Ipopd does not appear to support mbox's over 2 GiB via pop3 downloads.

Currently that account has a ~3.2 GiB mbox (about 2-3 weeks of email for
that particular account). Smaller mbox's work just fine. If i crop the
file to 2 GiB, ipopd works as expected.

I am wondering if the mailbox format used by the bug reporter is MBX?

 UW-imap supports 3 formats:
Unix mailbox - much higher limit (but may slow down to a crawl as it gets large)
MBX - faster than Unix mailbox, 2GB limit
MIX - newest, ridiculously fast for large mailboxes and its size limit is higher than any of the others.
